Executive Management

Patrick Kaltenbach joined the company in January 2021 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2021.

Prior to joining the company, he served as the lead of the Life Sciences Segment at Becton Dickinson since 2018. Prior to joining METTLER TOLEDO, Mr. Heiniger served as CEO of Aebi Schmidt Group, a global provider of smart vehicle systems and services. Before that, he held various management positions at ABB and later Gallus Group, a leading global supplier of label and screen-printing machines and services.

Gerry Keller joined the company in 1991 and since then served in various Sales and Marketing leadership functions in Europe and Asia. He held the positions of GM for Korea, Australia, and later Japan, and as of 2008, Head of Region East Asia/Pacific. Since mid-2013, he has been heading the company’s Pipetting business, based in Oakland, USA. In July 2018, he was appointed Head of Process Analytics Division. He is located in Urdorf, Switzerland.

Prior to joining the company, he worked in Quality Control at Sandoz, now Novartis, in Switzerland.

Elena Markwalder joined the company in 2017 as Head of the Standard Industrial business and was appointed Head of Industrial Division in January 2020. She is located at our offices in Nanikon, Switzerland.

Prior to joining the company, Ms. Markwalder held senior leadership positions at Schneider Electric in Asia and Switzerland, most recently as Divisional Head of Strategy and Marketing in the company's low voltage business. Prior to Schneider Electric, Ms. Markwalder worked in various General, Operations, and Product Management roles for ABB in Germany, Switzerland, the US, and China.

Jonas Greutert joined the company in 2015 as the General Manager of our Checkweighing business and in 2018 assumed additional responsibility for the global Vision Inspection business. In January 2020, he was appointed Head of Product Inspection Division. Mr. Greutert is located at the company's headquarters in Greifensee, Switzerland.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Greutert held various management roles at Datwyler Cabling Solutions, most recently as Managing Director Switzerland, Southern Europe, and Latin America. Prior to Datwyler, he co-founded a technology company where he acted as CTO and CFO.

Marc de la Guéronnière joined the company in 2001 as the Industrial business area manager in France. From January 2006 to January 2008 he was Head of Region South and General Manager of the company’s market organization in Spain. He was named Head of European Market Organizations in January 2008 and assumed additional responsibilities for the North American Market Organizations in April 2014 . Mr. de la Guéronnière is located in Paris.

Prior to joining the company, Marc de la Guéronnière held various management positions in Europe and the United States with ABB-Elsag Bailey and Danaher-Zellweger.

Richard Wong joined the company in November 2008 and took over responsibility as Head of Asia/Pacific Market Organizations in January 2009. He is located in our Singapore offices.

Prior to joining the company Richard Wong spent almost his entire professional career in IT and Life Sciences with Hewlett Packard and its spin off Agilent Technologies, developing and leading market organizations in Asia. He has been living in Vietnam, China and Japan.

Shawn Vadala joined the company in 1997 and has been Chief Financial Officer since January 2014. He has also been responsible for Pricing since 2008. Prior to this, Mr. Vadala held various financial leadership positions in our offices in Columbus, USA and Greifensee, Switzerland. He is located at the company’s offices in Columbus, USA.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Vadala worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, USA and Zurich, Switzerland.

Oliver Wittorf joined the company in 2004 and held various leadership positions in Operations and Supply Chain Management in Switzerland, the US and China. He was named Head of Global Supply Chain Management in 2010 and assumed additional responsibility for Information Technology in January 2017. He is located at our offices in Nänikon, Switzerland.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Wittorf worked for a Corporate Finance advisory firm in Switzerland.

Christian Magloth joined the company in October 2010 and has been Head of Human Resources since December 2010. He is located at our headquarters in Greifensee, Switzerland.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Magloth served as Head Human Resources of Straumann, a global medical devices company listed on the Swiss stock exchange. He previously was Head of Human Resources at Hero Group, and served in various management positions at Hilti, a leading global. construction supply company.

Michelle Roe rejoined the company in 2018 as Deputy General Counsel and was appointed General Counsel in January 2019. She is located at our offices in Columbus, USA.

Ms. Roe first joined the company in 2007 and held various leadership positions in Legal until 2015, lastly as General Counsel Americas. She then served as Group General Counsel of Thirty-One Gifts, a privately held retailer. Previously to first joining METTLER TOLEDO, she served in senior legal roles at RPM International and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation.
